The end of the school year is nearing and thus our last HCSM Meeting of the school year is approaching as well. This Saturday will be the Elections Meeting to vote in the incoming board of next year. You’ll be given a chance to reflect upon HCSM this year and enjoy a social event after the meeting. Read down for more information.

New Page (Current Events & Issues) April 25, 2006
There’s a new page up containing articles on current events and issues in the resources section. Currently there are only articles about the Hmong grave exhumations. If you would like to contribute links to articles, please email them to us. Thank you!
Deadline for Candidacy Applications Extended to April 28th
Due to the small number of received applications, we have extended the deadline for candidacy applications for all positions to this Friday, April 28th at midnight. Please submit your application to us with the subject line: HCSM Candidacy Application: “desired position.”

Scheduled site maintenance - (Update: Completed) April 20, 2006
Our webhost is moving our webhosting account to one of their new servers. This will be done tomorrow at around 1pm. Expect the website to inaccessible/broken some time throughout this weekend. If you are emailing us at hcsm@hcsmstudents.org and it does not get through, please email us at our gmail account instead: hcsm.students@gmail.com. I will keep you all updated on when our webhost has finished moving our account and the website is back to normal functionality.

The move is complete. Things should be back to normal now.
Deadline for candidacy forms fast approaching April 13, 2006

Are you thinking about running for a place on the HCSM Board? If so, please don’t forget to fill out the HCSM Candidacy Application. More information about the positions are available HERE.
Please remember that the deadline for the HCSM Candidacy Application is Saturday, April 22nd. We ask that when you email this application form to us that you include “HCSM Candidacy Applicatoin” along with the position that you are applying for, in the subject of the email message. Hello HCSM Members,
The beautiful April and spring is in the air. And so is the HCSM Elections meeting in about TWO WEEKS. It will be our last statewide meeting of the year. Not only will we be electing in the new board for next year, we will also be reflecting back on the overall progress of HCSM throughout the year. Whether this will be your first or fifth meeting, please attend the meeting to use your voice to reflect upon HCSM.
We’ve also attached a couple of summer internships, in case any of you are still trying to find something to do over the summer.

Recent website updates and data lost April 11, 2006
Hi members,
Our webhost has somehow screwed up and a few weeks of website content have disappeared. Please be patient as I fix things up. Some functions may not work correctly. Sorry for any inconveniences.

I have restored the day old database backup that I had for hcsmstudents.org, so things should be back to normal now, except that I’ll have to redo several hours of work that was lost yesterday. Please check back later for information on the elections meeting that I will be posting up again soon. If you have posted something in the last 24 hours, and it has disappeared, please repost it.
